The choices that shape a stronger film

A beautiful shot should do a job. It might make a product easier to understand, put someone at ease, or let the audience feel the scale of a place. We plan the coverage around that job before we choose the equipment.

Our in-house cameras, lighting and motion tools give us room to adapt. We can build a controlled studio setup or work around an operating business. We handle shot planning, crew coordination and the practical details so your people can concentrate on what they do best.

Choose the right format

What we film and how you can use it

Choose a format around the viewing situation. A product buyer, a job candidate and a concert audience need different coverage.

Commercials and video ads

An ad has a short window to make the offer clear. We plan the opening image, product coverage and call to action together, including the vertical and horizontal versions the campaign needs.

Brand and company films

Show the people and work behind the business. Interviews provide the substance; carefully planned location footage lets viewers see the process instead of hearing a list of claims.

Where it worksYour website, sales presentations and company introductions.

Product demonstrations

Show how something works, what makes it different and the details a buyer needs to see. Close-focus lenses, controlled reflections and repeatable camera moves help make small features readable.

Recruitment and workplace stories

Let candidates see the environment, the work and the people they could join. We plan around real operations and help employees speak naturally about their experience.

Music videos and narrative work

Performance, staging, light and movement need a shared visual direction. We develop coverage around the treatment, with enough variety to support the rhythm and the edit.

Where it worksArtist releases, short films and performance-led campaigns.

Documentary and event coverage

Live moments do not wait for another take. We establish the important people, access and action in advance, then capture the story with a workable camera and sound plan.

THE THINKING BEHIND THE WORK

Our approach

What makes a shot feel cinematic?

It starts with attention. A lens changes the relationship between a person and the room. A soft source can make an interview approachable; a hard edge can reveal the shape of a product. A camera move can introduce a detail at exactly the right moment. We make those choices together, then protect them through the edit and grade. A bigger camera by itself does not create that coherence.

Tools with a purpose

Cinema tools, chosen for the shot

A practical kit is about control: the right light, a clear recording, repeatable movement and a reliable route to the finish.

Explore our equipment

RED cinema acquisition

Our in-house inventory includes the RED KOMODO-X 6K and RED Epic-W 8K. Extra acquisition resolution can support reframing and different delivery crops. We choose recording settings around movement, light, post production and the actual delivery, not a resolution number alone.

Lighting that shapes the scene

Nanlux, Intellytech and other in-house fixtures give us options for large sources, controlled highlights and color. Diffusion, flags and negative fill matter as much as the light itself, particularly for faces, reflective products and mixed-light locations.

Controlled and moving cameras

Gimbal support, jibs, sliders and Kessler motion-control systems let us choose between a natural follow, a measured move and a repeatable product shot. The move needs a reason and enough time in the schedule to execute it properly.

Sound, focus and client monitoring

Wireless lavaliers, shotgun microphones, the Zoom F8 recorder and monitoring tools support a usable take. Focus control and a client monitor help the crew and decision makers evaluate the shot while changes are still easy.

Working with Creative Edge

Why plan the whole production with us?

Our Green Bay team connects production decisions to the work that happens before and after the camera rolls.

01

More of the kit is already here

Our in-house inventory makes camera, lighting and motion choices part of one production conversation. We still confirm the exact kit, crew and any specialist rentals in your estimate.

02

The edit informs the shoot

Production and post can plan together. That helps us capture transitions, details and alternate framings that a stand-alone shot list can overlook.

03

A studio and a location crew

We can compare a location shoot with our Green Bay studio or virtual production setup. The right option depends on control, access, logistics and the scenes your story needs.

From discovery to delivery

How your video production comes together

Explore each stage to see what happens, where your team is involved and which decisions keep the work moving.

We establish the audience, business goal, viewing context and deliverables. You do not need a finished concept. We can help develop the idea and decide what deserves screen time.

We review locations, sound, power, available light and access. A script or interview outline becomes a practical coverage plan with a schedule and clear responsibilities.

The crew builds the scene and checks focus, sound and framing before the take. Interviews get direction; demonstrations get rehearsal; live operations get a plan that respects the working environment.

Selected footage becomes a first cut for review. We refine structure, graphics, sound and color against the agreed direction, with consolidated feedback from your team.

We prepare the agreed masters, crops, captions and shorter edits. We can also connect the production with Creative Edge Marketing when the content needs a campaign behind it.

Before we get started

Cinematography FAQs

Ask our team
Do we need a script before we call?

No. Bring the business problem and the audience. We can help shape the concept, write the script and turn it into a practical shot plan.

Can you film at our business?

Yes. We plan access, noise, safety and scheduling with your team. For spaces that need more control, we also have studio options in Green Bay.

Can you work with our agency or internal team?

Yes. We can take on the production or provide the cinematography within an existing creative plan. We agree on responsibilities and delivery needs before the shoot.

What is the difference between cinematography and videography?

The terms overlap. Cinematography usually emphasizes the deliberate design of lighting, lens, framing and movement. Some projects need a highly controlled set; others need responsive event coverage. We recommend the crew and approach for the job.

Does every production need to be shot in 8K?

No. Acquisition resolution is one choice among many. Reframing room can help, but frame rate, sensor behavior, lighting, sound, media volume and the final platform matter too. We choose a sensible recording plan for the deliverables.

Can one shoot supply website, ad and social content?

Yes, when those uses are planned early. We identify the main story, alternate hooks, framing needs and extra stills before the shoot. Some formats need dedicated takes instead of a simple crop of the main film.

Can you plan a shoot in Milwaukee or Madison?

We are based in Green Bay. Tell us the Wisconsin location, access requirements and filming dates so we can discuss travel, crew and equipment logistics. We confirm those costs in the scope rather than treating every location as identical.

What affects the cost of a production day?

The creative, crew size, locations, lighting setup, talent, equipment and post deliverables all affect the estimate. A tightly planned interview is a different production from a multi-location commercial with motion control and visual effects.
