Creative Edge Productions makes company films, commercials, and on-location video for La Crosse and western Wisconsin. Our Green Bay crew travels to the area to record the people, places, and processes that help customers or job candidates understand your work.

For a job site along the Upper Mississippi, an Onalaska facility, or a project spread across several locations, we start with the footage you can only get at a certain place or time. Then we build interviews and other scenes around that part of the schedule.

J.F. Brennan Company

100 Years

The brief
Brennan’s centennial gave the La Crosse company a reason to tell its story across generations. A history piece asks what changed, which milestones mattered, and how the company became what it is today.
Production and delivery
The 100 Years film is the finished anniversary piece. The portfolio pairs it with a separate corporate video, so viewers can see how two briefs for the same company lead to different films.

Corporate video

The brief
The company overview gives viewers a way to understand Brennan’s work today. That makes it a different starting point for a new customer or partner who wants to understand the company’s capabilities.
Production and delivery
The corporate video is a separate finished film. When planning a similar overview, start with the work your customer needs to understand and use relevant jobs or interviews to make the explanation concrete.

Our reach

Plan filming around an active site in western Wisconsin

Start with the part of the work the audience needs to see. If a lift, a crew handoff, or a site milestone happens once, reserve that window first. For waterfront work, talk with the site lead about access, safe camera positions, weather, and which operations may change the schedule.

We’ll work with your site contact to identify where we can load in, where interviews will be quiet, and when we can record activity. If key footage is captured across different locations or dates, we can plan how it will fit together before the first shoot.

  • Show the scale and the sequence

For a process or infrastructure video, pick the stages a customer needs to understand. A wide shot establishes the site, and close footage and a crew member’s explanation show what’s actually happening.

    Explore on-location cinematography
  • Build a milestone film from real records

Gather original photos and footage, make a short list of turning points, and identify people who remember them. Check which materials are cleared for use and which dates or details need to be verified before interviews.

  • Set up the technical review early

Choose one person to verify terminology, footage, and any safety or confidentiality concerns. We can plan separate cuts for a sales meeting, an event, or recruiting once everyone agrees on what each audience needs.

Ways to show your people and their work

View all production services
01

Company films and milestones

A company introduction answers what you do and who you help. For a milestone film, bring photographs, archival footage, and people who can speak to the turning points in the company’s history.

02

Job site and process video

Use supporting footage to show the scale of the work, how a process fits together, or what a finished result looks like. Pair that with a clear explanation from someone who does the job.

03

Interviews for sales and recruitment

A customer or project lead can explain why a decision mattered. A crew member can show applicants what a role involves. Plan each interview around the viewer’s questions.

From discovery call to delivery

Build a shoot plan that follows the job site

  1. Define the brief

Identify the purpose of the film and the work stages the audience needs to see. Decide which operations are only visible on certain days.

  2. Plan the shoot

Work with the site lead on access, camera positions, required safety gear, and the weather plan. Reserve a quiet location for interviews.

  3. Film

Capture the time-sensitive activity first. Gather wide shots, details, and interviews that let a viewer follow the work in order. Plan repeat visits if the important milestones are separated in time.

  4. Review and deliver

Have a technical reviewer check the footage and terminology. Clear any archive material or client-sensitive shots before approving the final files.

A clear starting point

Questions about filming in La Crosse

Can you work around job site access and safety rules?

Yes. Share the site contact and access requirements early. We’ll plan equipment and camera positions with your team and follow the site’s direction during filming.

Can we use our own archival photos and footage?

Yes. We can review the material and advise how it can work in the edit. Bring original files where possible and identify any footage or photographs that require clearance.

Can we film at more than one facility?

Yes. Tell us what should be shown at each location, who needs to appear, and whether filming has to work around specific shifts or site schedules.

What happens if weather shifts the filming window?

We can identify weather-sensitive shots during planning and discuss a backup window. Interviews or indoor footage may be able to go ahead while the outdoor work is rescheduled, depending on the site and crew availability.

Can we capture a project in stages over several visits?

Yes. Share the milestones and when the work will be visible. We can plan which visits need a crew, what your team can document between visits, and how to keep the footage consistent in the edit.

Can an engineer or site lead review the video before it’s delivered?

Yes. Identify the reviewer before the shoot. We can use the review to check process descriptions, terminology, what is visible in the footage, and which details should be kept private.

What should we gather for a company anniversary film?

Start with a timeline, a list of people who can describe the turning points, and original photos or footage where you have them. Note who owns the material and what has already been cleared for use.

Three days, three locations, and an active warehouse

Ben, Tony & Quinn made our production vision. They worked in a tough active warehouse environment and were able to capture stunning imagery and surprisingly clean audio for numerous interviews over the course of three days in three locations. Providing my company and our client with solid content we can continue to repurpose throughout the coming year.

A traveling producer’s experience on location

As a traveling producer, I often struggle to find dependable production companies based solely on a website and a phone call. Creative Edge is exactly as advertised—professional, prepared, and truly skilled. From my very first conversation with Tony, I knew they were the real deal. They showed up with high-end production cameras and equipment, along with the knowledge and experience to tie it all together seamlessly.

On set, they were polite, respectful, and incredibly thoughtful, especially since we were filming in an elderly person’s residence. That level of care matters. Creative Edge came through exactly as needed, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Tony and his team again on future projects. Highly recommend.
