The demand for high resolution video has never been greater. Netflix has recently switched over to requiring all content to be delivered no lower than 4K resolution, which is 4 times the resolution of HD. For many of our clients, HD just isn’t good enough. With high resolution monitors, mobile devices and 4K TVs becoming the standard, 4K content isn’t just the future, it’s now. In order to capture the best quality 4K image, we now have the brand new RED Epic-W 8K camera. Just as in photography, getting a higher resolution image means you can downsample to an even better quality image for delivery. Shooting in 8K lets us deliver the most amazing 4K image we’ve ever been able to and also allows for future proofing content for when 6K or 8K becomes a new standard in delivery.
Not only can we deliver better quality video, but 8K images are equivalent to 35 megapixel photos. Now we can grab incredibly high resolution stills for use in web and print material. We can reduce costs and increase speed on set by not needing a separate photographer for great quality stills.
